School's Out Punk Show | Katalyst Music Gallery | June 10, 2023

On June 10th, Katalyst Music Gallery, a southeast side hidden gem, hosted an outdoor punk show on their patio called “School’s Out.”

Five young Chicago punk bands played the stage on 133rd Street surrounded by young punk rock fans. We were particularly in awe by the cool show gurlz in attendance, so full of energy and dressed to the nines! It made us realize that we need to dress more fun for concerts!

We were able to catch a good chunk of the bands that played as we sat happily in the shade outside of our art gallery across the street. Lots of people stopped by and rocked out, asked questions, and smiled in approving ways. This is just the start of fun in Hegewisch this summer.
